How to Add a Windows 7 machine to an Active Directory Domain Service (AD DS)

This guide will take you step by step through, how to add a windows 7 PC to a domain. In my case here, I have made a domain called: Football.local, which the PC will be added too.

Step 1. First, go down and click "Start", as shown below.

Step 2. Then right click on "Computer"

Step 3. Choose Properties in the bottom of the menu, as shown below.

Step 4. Choose "Change settings", in the right side of the window, as shown below with a red square.

Step 5. click "Change" once again, in the new window, as shown below.

Step 6. Put a dot in "Domain" and type the domain that you want to add the PC too. As shown below, I have typed in Football.local as I wish to add this PC to that domain.

Step 7. When hitting OK, you are asked to enter a username and password, this account must have administrative rights on the domain otherwise you will not be able to add the PC to the new domain. I have used the administrator acc in this case, as shown below.

Step 8. Next, you will be notified that it have added the PC to the new domain.

Step 9. Finally, you have to reboot the PC before it can fully join the new domain.

Hope it have been usefull and if you have any improvements for this guide, let me know here
