How to enable Internet Explorer fully in 2008 R2

What does this mean? Well, if you do not change this setting, you will have trouble with browsing and downloading through Internet Explorer on your 2008 R2 server. This guide will take you through the few steps to change that for administrators only. You can also change the setting for other users.

Step 1. Note that I have moved down the "Security Information"-section as marked with the red square and in the orange square you can see the current settings for using Internet Explorer, which is that the IE Enhanced Security Configuration (ESC) is ON. Choose "Config IE ESC" in the right side of the screen, as shown with the yellow square.

Step 2. Change the setting from ON to OFF for administrators, as shown with the red square and hit OK. If you wanna change the setting for all users, then turn it OFF for "Users" aswell and hit OK.

Step 3. As you can see now in the red square, the Enhanced Security Configuration have changed for administrators from ON to OFF and you can now use Internet Explorer as you do on your own computer.

Hope it have been usefull and if you have any improvements for this guide, let me know here
