How to enable Remote Desktop (RDP) on Server 2008 R2

This guide will take you step by step through, how to enable Remote Desktop on Server 2008 R2, but do note that this guide will only show how to enable firewall exceptions for all network connections on the server and for no specific users.

Step 1. First, click on "Configure Remote Desktop".

Step 2. Move the dot down to "Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop (less secure)", as shown below.

Step 3. When you have tried to move the dot, you will get an information about a firewall exception that will be enabled. Hit OK to this, if you just want to work (like in a closed or virtual environment)

Step 4. After that, click "Apply" or "OK" and you are now able to Remote access your server..
